Manager – Andreea
McKinley Marketing Partners would like to introduce you to Interim Marketing Manager℠, Andreea, who has over five years of marketing communications experience and is new to the world of consulting. She is currently working on a McKinley project with a large medical association client. Below you can read our interview with Andreea:
Given that you’ve started consulting early in your career, what have you enjoyed about consulting as an IMM℠ and what are the benefits for someone such as yourself?
What I enjoy most about consulting is the opportunity to prove my knowledge and skills while delivering results for challenging projects. This is a great method to quickly learn and adapt to new marketing strategies, experience different industries, and identify best practices. Most importantly, consulting has offered me the chance to build a strong portfolio, explore different business environments, and discover the best fit for me.
What makes your most recent consulting project stand out from your previous career experiences?
I am currently working with an outstanding team in the healthcare industry to develop and execute a targeted, results-oriented, marketing campaign for a new innovative program. My professional advice and expertise have always been appreciated and, although I am an outside consultant, I have felt like I was part of the team from day one.
You have held marketing positions in a wide range of industries. How has your experience in various industries helped you to become a successful marketer?
I have been fortunate enough to work in diversified industries and be exposed to many different scenarios. While they all follow the general marketing backbone, each industry has its own particular recipe for success. By building such a diversified portfolio, I acquired unique transferable skills and the ability to see the big picture while paying close attention to detail. I am now able to quickly identify out-of-the-box solutions.
What do you enjoy most about working with McKinley?
From my first contact with them, I was impressed by the level of professionalism with which both clients and IMMs are treated. What I appreciate most about McKinley Marketing Partners is the rigorous recruiting process, one of the most thorough processes I’ve been through.
If you weren’t in marketing, what other career would you have pursued?
I have always been interested in foreign languages. As a result, I speak five languages and, if I wasn’t so passionate about marketing, I would probably have built a career as an international conference interpreter.
