McKinley Turns 19!

Last month, McKinley Marketing Partners celebrated its 19th anniversary!  We have come a long way since opening our doors on April 1, 1995, and seen many changes in the world of marketing!  To commemorate our anniversary, here are 19 fun and informational facts about McKinley:

1. The company is named after Mount McKinley in Alaska, also known as “Denali” or “the Great One”.
2. Our office headquarters in Alexandria, VA was previously used by an arms dealer as a munitions warehouse.
3. McKinley is certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council.
4. In 1997, McKinley developed a proprietary CRM called the McKinley Information Management System (MIMS), a real-time applicant tracking system database/CRM.
5. McKinley opened its Dallas office in 2000.
6. From 2003 to 2006, McKinley doubled in size, earning a place on Inc. Magazine’s list of the 5000 fastest growing companies.
7. In 2003, McKinley was awarded a General Services Administration schedule contract.
8. McKinley’s longest tenured employees include Carmen Zawodny (14 years) and Bruce Prouty (13 years).
9. Many of our employees have backgrounds in marketing, making us a marketing staffing company run by marketers.
10. McKinley has coined the term Interim Marketing Manager℠ (IMM℠) to describe our network of talented professionals.
11. Every candidate is thoroughly vetted; we only accept a small percentage of applicants who seek to work with our clients.
12. In 2007, McKinley began offering direct hire solutions to meet all of our clients’ marketing hiring needs.
13. McKinley enjoys repeat business with over 90% of its clients.
14. On any given day, McKinley can have a couple of dogs “working” in the office.
15. McKinley underwent a transformation in September 2011 with a new logo design and website.
16. McKinley’s website is mobile-friendly to address the needs of our on-the-go candidates and clients.
