A non-profit organization reached out to McKinley Marketing Partners when they needed an business development manager to create a strategic business development plan. The organization was looking to increase partnership agreements to provide its members with value-added resources.

Solution
The business development manager conducted a competitive market scan and an in-depth analysis of potential business partnerships. She reviewed the analysis, member research, consumer studies, and industry scans to develop an organizational partnership growth strategy.
Since beginning the project, the consultant’s responsibilities grew to include leading the business development communications strategy and collateral development for prospective partnerships. The consultant also managed cross-functional teams in the business development process.
Due to the business development manager’s success, the client decided to extend the project’s length. Now, in a leadership role, the consultant is establishing partnerships within the clients’ entertainment, dining and retail categories. She has already secured one new partnership and is currently working with 11 additional partner prospects.
