Michelle J. Boggs President, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder

As McKinley Marketing Partners’ co-founder and first employee, Michelle now serves as the company’s President and CEO. Her leadership, courage, and instinct for optimizing business processes and procedures have driven McKinley’s growth and solidified its reputation as a firm that consistently delivers top-notch marketing talent. She has been named an inaugural member of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council’s Women of Distinction for her leadership and commitment to the organization and to the women’s business community. In McKinley’s earliest years, Michelle developed a rigorous candidate screening procedure—a highly selective process that serves as the foundation for McKinley’s quality standards. This unique process allows McKinley to provide clients with candidates that fit their needs and corporate culture. Michelle attended Southwest Texas State University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. She began her career in commercial development before transitioning into marketing and public relations. After working in sports marketing for a decade, she decided to switch gears and began consulting independently. As a marketing consultant, Michelle was able to leverage her marketing and business development skills while maintaining a healthy work-life balance—an experience she wanted to share with others. As a result, in 1995 she co-founded McKinley Marketing Partners and, even after all these years, she is still thrilled by the results it delivers to clients and candidates. There’s nothing better, she says, than matching a candidate looking for their dream job or project with a client looking for their hero employee or consultant. Michelle is inspired by her husband, her team at McKinley, and the many talented women business owners she has met over the years. In her spare time, she plays golf and tennis and practices yoga. She enjoys traveling and passionately watches the Dallas Cowboys during football season.

Susie Aubuchon Senior Vice President, Client Services

Susie Aubuchon is an accomplished professional with expertise in sales and marketing coming from her years in the telecommunications industry. Susie is primarily responsible to manage all Business Development, Recruiting and Marketing activity for McKinley. In this capacity, she manages these teams to ensure successful relationships with both our clients and our consultants. She has been instrumental in ensuring appropriate communications to consultants and clients alike throughout building of relationships with McKinley. Susie also oversees McKinley’s marketing functions including internal and external communications, social media content development, and demand generation. She joined McKinley in January of 2005, as a Director of Business Development, where she was responsible for developing sales for the telecommunications and technology sectors in the metro area. Prior to joining McKinley, Susie worked in the telecommunication industry with MCI and XO Communications where she created and managed marketing programs for enterprise accounts and built channel support programs for emerging sales organizations. She was responsible for the creation of an organization-wide communications plan for which she developed internal/external messaging, the launch of a CRM application, and the development of all sales support documents and processes.

Marty Hendershot Vice President, Strategic Planning and Operations

Marty Hendershot is an experienced marketing professional with over ten years of B2B and consumer experience, ranging from strategic planning to program and project management. As the Vice President, Strategic Planning and Operations at McKinley Marketing Partners, Marty is responsible for managing the finance, client services, and recruiting departments. Marty’s dedication to growing McKinley and expertise make him a valuable member of the executive team. He provides strategic analysis and planning, directs the customer relationship lifecycle and oversees the company’s overall recruiting and marketing efforts. Marty earned a Bachelor’s of Arts & Sciences in U.S. History and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland, College Park. Although he’s a die-hard Maryland Terrapins fan, Martin now calls New York home. He loves fantasy sports—mainly baseball and football—and when he’s not injuring himself, he’s an avid basketball player.


Edmund Breitling Director, Business Development

Edmund Breitling partners with new clients and works with existing clients to discover and support our client talent searches. His experience as a business development director combined with his background in account management enable him to fully understand a candidate’s needs, and helps him establish lasting professional relationships. Edmund holds both a Master of Health Administration, and a Bachelors in Public Relations from Western Connecticut State University where he played rugby and was president of the student body for two years. He’s an avid adventure traveler with his next destination always on his mind. Edmund is also active in his community, serving on the City of Alexandria’s Workforce Development Commission and as Liaison to the Economic Opportunities Commission. Edmund is also a member of the National Capital Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America, where he serves as a committee member for the improvement of the program.

Debra Abell Senior Manager, Recruiting

As Senior Manager, Recruiting at McKinley Marketing Partners, Debra is responsible for leading recruiting and sourcing experienced marketing professionals for our Texas-based companies. She has worked in the staffing industry for over twenty years and specializes in finding candidates through deep web searches. Nearly half of her career has been spent recruiting writers, print production artists, graphic designers and web programmers for a creative staffing agency, and she even worked in print production. She understands the idiosyncrasies of this diverse market and can help clients find the right fit for their next project. Debra, who relocated to McKinley’s Houston office in 2015, once lived on Adak in the Aleutian Islands - about 1,200 miles to the nearest major city- for two years. Cate Thompson Senior Manager, Client Services

Cate Thompson provides exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders. From on-boarding to completion, Cate interacts with both clients and consultants throughout the duration of assignments. This seasoned client relationship manager also has experience as a freelance content writer and marketing consultant and is well-versed in the creative side of the business. Cate holds a Bachelor of Arts in English with a concentration in Communications from Roanoke College. Carmen Zawodny Assistant Vice President, Management Operations

Originally hired by McKinley Marketing Partners in 1999 as an Office Manager and Executive Assistant to the President and CEO, Carmen Zawodny currently oversees the Management Operations Department. She coordinates office management, financial reconciliation, information technology, and all vendor relationships. Prior to joining McKinley, Carmen held positions at ITT Federal Services International Corporation, the U.S. Department of Defense, and in the primary education field. Early in her career, Carmen spent several years living in Germany and remains fluent in the language. Jayme Halfhill Specialist, Client Services

Jayme Halfhill works extensively with internal and external stakeholders with a priority in customer service. From start to finish, she works closely with clients and consultants until all facets of the assignment have been met. Always a team player, she often collaborates with colleagues in recruiting and business development, ensuring timely and desired outcomes. Jayme holds a Master of Science in International Conflict Resolution from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from the University of Pittsburgh. She has travelled to more than 20 countries, doing mostly humanitarian work. She has three passions in life: the Dave Matthews Band, the Pittsburgh Penguins and her kitten, Moo. Audrey O'Clair Manager, Recruiting

As a Recruiting Manager for McKinley Marketing Partners, Audrey O’Clair sources and finds the best marketers for McKinley’s clients. As a marketer herself, Audrey enjoys getting to know the talented marketing professionals who work with McKinley while keeping up with the changes and innovation in the marketing industry. Prior to joining the McKinley team in 2016, Audrey acted as the Marketing Coordinator for Avpro, Inc. and Lennar Homes. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications with a focus in Public Relations and Advertising from Towson University. Audrey is a devoted Washington Nationals and Washington Capitals fan and currently lives in Alexandria with her dachshund Franklin. Hilary Sutton Consultant, Content Marketing

As content marketing lead, Hilary Sutton drives the content and thought leadership created by McKinley. Hilary is a passionate communicator and avid researcher in careers and marketing. In addition to Hilary's work with McKinley she is also a freelance direct response and content marketing writer. She is a contributor to USA Today and the host of the podcast, "Hustle & Grace with Hilary Sutton." Hilary is often tapped to write and speak on creative and career fulfillment. She lives in northern Virginia with her husband and daughter. Hilary loves Broadway, red velvet cake, and her husband but not necessarily in that order. Wesley Garnett Associate Manager, Recruiting

As a recruiter with McKinley Marketing partners, Wes Garnett helps source and discover talented individuals. His background in human resources and retail management give him a unique passion for serving others and building relationships with McKinley’s clients and candidates. Before joining the McKinley team in 2018, Wes worked as a manager for Target in Alabama and then Rosslyn, VA. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Health Science from Bryan College. Karyn Hartley Director, Business Development

Karyn engages new clients and cultivates relationships with existing clients to ensure that McKinley is best supporting our every partner. Equipped with her experience in full-cycle sales and account management, she recognizes that our goal at McKinley is to meet our clients' needs. Her favorite part of the role is connecting her client’s needs with real-life solutions--top notch talent. Karyn is intentional about making genuine connections with her clients and serving them to the best of her ability. 

Her passion for this process enables McKinley to maintain long-term relationships with our candidates and the companies we serve.

Karyn holds a B.A. in Sociology and B.A. in Criminal Justice from the University of Arkansas. Woo Pig Sooie!
