Marketing Generalist
A financial services company needed an extra set of hands to complete ad hoc marketing projects within their marketing group. The client called McKinley Marketing Partners to help fill this marketing generalist position as quickly as possible. They asked for a seasoned consultant with experience in the financial services industry to perform a wide variety of ad hoc marketing projects from strategy development to tactical implementation.
Solution
McKinley found consultant with substantial experience who was able to work on multiple projects simultaneously. The marketing projects included leading a team to evaluate and provide recommendations to improve an existing pipeline report resulting in the implementation of a new reporting format; writing several marketing plans for program initiatives; managing logistics and moderating several internal webinars for the sales team; and acting in a consultative role on the planning for advisory boards and large conferences. Another component of the assignment included updating the client’s industry topics document, which required the marketing generalist to establish the proper subject matter to be featured in the document, edit the content, obtain reviews from appropriate subject matter experts, and receive final approval by the legal department. In the end, McKinley delivered a consultant with financial services industry experience, which allowed her to hit the ground running and immediately provide results to the client’s marketing group.
